how to tell how many licenses are tied to one serial key

We have a serial key for Acrobat Pro. I was told it is a volume license key but nobody knows how many licenses are tied to it. I attempted to contact support who informed me that cant help and I needed to post it here. I am the new IT guy and the last guy did not document when/where we purchased it or what email address it is registered under.

Did you get a name? That's ridiculous because only Adobe staff can look things like that up. I see an increasing tendency to get rid of difficult questions by sending people, uselessly, to the forums. I hope this is just a rogue element. You might however need to contact enterprise support (or whatever they are called) rather than customer service.
