I received an email from BSA to conduct an audit on behalf of Adobe. Is this legitimate?

I am very hesitant to open unexpected emails and this email from "BSA Compliance Solutions" is claiming to conduct an audit on behalf of Adobe.  Is this legitimate? I need confirmation from Adobe before I will respond.  Thank you.

Thank you for your post, but this doesn't address the ask from the "BSA Compliance Solutions" email.  This seems to be different from what Adobe speasks about with respect to the BSA framework and security.  If this is an audit from Adobe, then they should be contacting their customers directly.

you're entitled to your opinion, but adobe commonly farms out tasks unrelated to software development.

We asked the same thing.  Adobe's license terms say they can use third parties to perform the audits.  BSA are one of their members https://www.bsa.org/membership
