Hi All,
I have been trying to install Adobe Creative Cloud - Indesign CC 32bit on a Windows 64bit machine. However I am getting the below error:
I have tried the following:
- Removed all version ofMicrosoft Visual C++ and reinstalling them.
- Tested on 5 different machines (and a non business machine.
- Installed on a clean OS build without any Adobe products.
- Repackaged Indesign CC 32bit (tested the archive version from CC), same problem.
- Tried copying the missing packages into the install folder as per the naming convention below.
- restarted the computer after disabling all non Windows services and startup programs.
Other packages install fine, but we need to have indesign 32bit as part of the production environment.
Any Help would be great. Thanks

Not a problem Jeff.
Yes, unfortunately with legacy production systems we need the 32bit version to work on a 64-bit operating system.
It seems like a Photoshop 32bit package was created for a 64-bit operating system here to work with :
2014 release of Photoshop CC: Separate 32-bit/64-bit installation
Thanks for trying to assist.

Ebulwing there are multiple messages regarding the Visual C++ Redistributable. Please be aware this component of your operating system will need to be functional in order for Adobe applications to install properly. You mentioned you removed these redistributables. Did you also reinstall them? If so do you still receive the same error?

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your reply.
I have re installed them as stated above, the above error messages occur on every test machine I have tried it on. Non business machines and also the business SOE.
I have been in discussion with the technical care team and they believe that a 32bit version will not install on a 64bit machine.
However there are other Adobe software that does run in 32bit on a 64 bit OS. Windows 7 64bit.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Ebulwing if you are consistently getting the error messages about the Visual C++ Redistributables needing to be reinstalled, and reinstalling is not resolving the issue, then I would recommend contacting Microsoft or your computer manufacturer.
Visual C++ Redistributables is a common set of programming instructions used by a variety of applications not just InDesign CC or the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Thanks Jeff,
Does this mean that you can confirm 100% that Indesign CC 32Bit version can be installed on a Windows 7 64bit OS using the CC packager package?

My apologies you posted in the Creative Cloud Download & Install forum so I assumed you were using Creative Cloud individual accounts.

I would recommend that you deploy the correct packages for the correct operating system. The community in this forum may have additional information to provide.
Do you have a specific need for a 32-bit version of InDesign to be installed on a 64-bit operating system? If it is due to plug-in compatibility then I would recommend working with the plug-in manufacturer directly.
