Installation of CC for Education on Mac

New Here ,
Aug 27, 2014 Aug 27, 2014

Hi All,

We have a suite of 21 Macs and I have recently created a master Image on one of the Macs (OS X Mavericks, CC for Education, Browsers and other applications etc.) and I had some problems with the initial install of CC after selecting 'named licence'. I contacted Adobe regarding these issues and the informed me that I should be using 'device licence' - I tried this and hey presto it worked!

With a working build I now want to transfer this same build onto the remaining 20 Macs in the suite - I connected two Macs and using migration assistant I copied the applications and settings from one Mac to another which was fine until I set about testing the applications to ensure that they worked. When launching PS CC I was asked to install CC which to my understaning having being selected in migration assistant should have copied across, I installed this anyway, I was then asked to install AAM which during the install encountered an error and was unable to complete, I was directed to a support tool which was no longer supported.

Clearly I wasn't getting anywhere fast, I decided to re-create the package onto a USB drive and attempt a fresh install of CC after first using the CC Clearner and secondly completely erasing the HD and installing - both of which got a little further than last time but still gave an error (The installer encountered an error causing the installer to fail , please contact your software provider). I again contacted adobe via 24/7 chat who didn't seem to be able to offer any real guidance.

I basically just want to have the same image from my master Mac on the rest of the clients but chance name and IP - is the Adobe part failing as I need to create an individaul package on each mac?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Steven

Hi Steven,

Adobe device license is tied to a deployment pool hence errors may occur during image installation. This could be due to Adobe application manager which is missing on user's machine  and Adobe creative cloud desktop wasn't included while creating a package through CCP. You may visit the link below to find the other distribution method.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
