Installing Volume License Acrobat V7, Requires Online Registration

The IT folks here installed V7 of Acrobat onto my work laptop a second time just now and Acrobat still pops up a nag screen to register, each time it starts. On the phone for an hour with Adobe's overseas support crew (customer service, tech support, customer service, volume licensing) to find out they don't support V7 anymore. That's fine. Don't need support; need to either be able to register or get rid of the nag screen. They have no clue and suggested we go to this forum and ask. This is the same version and source of Acrobat that our enterprise was using before switching from XP to Vista and never a nag screen or problem in XP. Why does the nag screen even display? Going to the Adobe website as required by the nag screen, they do not allow registration.  Is there some flaw with Vista? Some incompatibility between Acrobat and Vista? Thanks.
