Is there a way to stop users from installing applications that havent been assigned to them?

We have a policy in our company that users shouldnt install trial versions of software from the adobe porttal, however they do. Is there a way to stop this through the portal, to only show them the application I have assigned them?

Yes it can be done by creating managed packages, with Managed packages, you can decide what gets deployed and when it gets updated.
