Mac OSX How to disable RemoteUpdateManager?

Community Beginner ,
Feb 16, 2016 Feb 16, 2016

We have been using RemoteUpdateManager and ARD to update our Macs remotely. A few that have Photoshop CC 2015 will not update to the latest version. Is it possible to disable RemoteUpdateManager and go back to the Adobe CC Desktop app and get updates or possibly download the updates and run them?

Yes you can remove RUM from the local machines. For locations see here https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/packager/using-remote-update-manager.html

An alternative is to use the Creative Cloud Packager to build an update package and push that out.

If you want to use the desktop app then make sure updates have not been suppressed. See Disable auto-updates in Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite 6 apps

Thanks that worked! The only issue I keep seeing is that now that I can run it manually it says that my version of Photoshop is updated but I know its not the latest version. I have been able to fix that issue by using Solution 4 (removing the opm.db file) here. That resolved the issue of the updates not appearing.
