Hi All

The business is moving to Azure , and at present we have two members of staff using Adobe CC with a mass of local stoarge and a Box account and laptops which if kept as main devices will need replacing soon.

I am looking at moving the Box account to an Azure Bog store for archiving working  but had a thought - what if we made a high spec VMs and they worked fully in the cloud using Adobe CC as a desktop application on the VM?

Is this mad or tested/done before?

Thanks

Rob

It may be possible, if the VM offers sufficiently high spec GPU emulation (GPU is mandatory for some CC apps). But you should be aware that many of the CC apps are VERY demanding of CPU, GPU, disk throughput, RAM etc.) as well as needing a very high display bandwidth. Serious CC users are constantly upgrading their hardware or trying to squeeze a little more out of it, so upgrading users to a a slower VM solution may not be a popular move.
