Nested Sharing Problem

Hello. I have multiple nested folders that are shared with many different collaborators. I have one person that needs access to all of the folders. The Cloud won't let me share the main folder because it says that nested sharing is not suppported. Does that mean that I have to search within the hundreds of folders I have shared with over 15 people and remove all of their access in order to share all folders with one other person? That doesn't make sense to me. There must be another way. Please help because I'm out of the office on vacation next week and need my replacement to have access to all of my files. Thank you!

Maybe your replacement should have your log-in ID and password to access your Creative Cloud files while you're on  leave.  When you return, change your CC  ID and password.

That could work. Thank you. I'm just not sure what the reasoning is behind restricting nested sharing. It seems like it would be much more convenient without it. I have run into a lot of sharing issues because of the limitations.

Creative Cloud storage isn't a replacement for a shared network drive.   Are you on an individual plan or Teams plan?

It's a Teams plan. Isn't that what it's supposed to be for? Sharing of collaborators is offered which is great, but I don't understand the nesting restriction. What is the purpose of it?

I'm on an individual plan and have no need for nested folders per se.   My main CC file folder syncs to the cloud.  In cloud storage, I have a few shared folders for collaborators to access.  However, I would NEVER share my entire CC folder with collaborators.

It's not my account. It's my client's business account. They created a log in for me and I need to share the projects with other designers who work on my projects when I am out of the office.

I suggest you talk with your client's IT dept.  Maybe they can set-up something that works for you.

I've already spoken with IT. They actually refer to me about Creative Cloud issues because they aren't that familiar with how it works. I would just suggest to Adobe to add more functionality to the Cloud sharing so we could share files using our Adobe account more easily instead of having to switch to or add another file sharing service such as Drop Box. Even if you had to charge a bit more for an extended plan, it would be worth it.

This isn't a direct pipeline to Adobe's engineers.  This is mainly a user-to-user community.  Feel free to submit feedback and feature requests to Adobe's UserVoice where the product teams will see them.

Do you have any idea on how they intended us to use Creative Cloud Sync if it's not a replacement for a shared network drive? This is baffling me.

Creative Cloud storage is for sharing select files with clients, colleagues or other devices.  It's not a replacement for physical hard drive space, network drives or dedicated backup/recovery services.

The cloud is an awsome tool to share your creation between devices. I have two office locations, where I access my data via a desktop PC. I have a laptop for travel and I have my iPad. For sharing my data, I use essentially Creative Cloud and OneDrive. For transfering big data chuncks to my customers, I use WeTransfer.

Part of the Creative Cloud environment are also the libraries. It's easy to insert the logo from a comon place, where also the colour codes are stored and different other design elements.

Acrobat uses the cloud to distrubute documents for signing.

I have no idea, where the cloud is heading to, but there are more and more tools using the cloud also to "outsource" processing power, like masking in Photoshop.

There may well be technical reasons for limiting sharing. If that person has it's own Adobe id, with it's own cloud space, it will get complicated. We have a network share with a well defined structure (it's a convention how and were to store the data for different types of documents) and we all access the data according to our needs.
