Good afternoon,
i would like to understand one thing as in our small company we are thinking to upgrade our older products to CC... but i cannot understand one important thing.
We are a two-men team using LIGHTROOM and PHOTOSHOP. We both have old standalone versions (lightroom 5 and photoshop), we don't have CC.
We have a huge archive (about 1T) of photos that in the last ten years we've been accurately placing in very specifici folder of the catalogue (i'm telling you this just to let you know that in any case we cannot build again a 44.000+ pics catalogue). We have one external hard drive that we have to phisycally move around all time (and pass it between us two, if we don't have time to update the backup hard-disk).
We just saw that it would be much easier to have the catalogue stored in the adobe cloud storage service. But here is the problem: if we get ONE licence... well, it would be illegal i guess, and have tons of problems with working at the same time (and we have 2 desktops + 2 laptops... very annoying to log-out-log-in all the time anyway).
BUT, if we get TWO LICENCES (as we tought from the beginning, obviously).. we would get 1Tb EACH. It means that if our archive is uploaded on HIS cloud storage, i will not be able to work on it from MY lightroom, and vice-versa. Every time i edit or upload pics, he will not see it. Is my assumption correct? Or am i missing something? So we cannot "share" the catalogue as we are doing now by physically passing the hard-disk. Is there any way to solve this? Or should we just abandon the idea of going CC?
i exclude the Team Licence as (so far) i cannot find the option of getting 1T instead of 100GB and, most important, i cannot get just the photography plan but instead i have to get the single product (and, surprisingly, there is no Lightroom) or the whole package of cc - which we don't need!
Any ideas?
Hi,
The thing you have to do is to upload all your 1Tb catalogue to one CC account and share it with the second account.
But be very careful as the 1Tb of data will download on both computer automaticaly.
Have a nice day
