Dear All,

We have an inhouse application running and PDF files posted in portal.

We have policy when users logged in it will open IE automatically with the application.

When we click on PDF file it does not open but when we close and reopen IE it open PDF files successfully.

We check with lan connected desktop and it works fine there and we are facing this issue with laptops.

The desktop are 32 bit win 7.

The laptops are having wireless connection and having 64bit OS windows 7 ENT SP1 adobe version is 10.

Please assist and my email id is [email address removed by host]

Question:  Are you loading the 64-bit version of IE on first launch?  If you are then that's your issue.  The PDF plug-in is not 64-bit compatible so the solution would be to launch the 32-bit version of IE.

Try loading the web application in Internet Explorer Compatibility Mode on first load.

Thanks Sabian,

I open the pdf with 32 bit and my issue got resolved. I then created the GPO to open the IE automatically with 32 bit IE.
