Re: Creative Cloud throwing 205 and A12E5 errors

New Here ,

We have exactly the same problem here. We are a french school of Design, equipped with a very fast network (gigabit local, and 100 Mbit fiber internet line).

Impossible to download anything using Adobe Creative Cloud Packager. Error A12E5. We have tried everything tip we found on the internet : Reset or delete OOBE files, uninstalling everything and starting from scratch, Adove Cleaner tool (that don't find anything to uninstall, btw) etc.

Our network is working like a charm and don't have a single problem of stability... We only have a proxy server set in OSX preferences that has always worked well with CS ( that we usually downloaded from Adobe Licensing website ) installed using Adobe AAMEE.

With CC that's another story : When starting Creative Cloud Packager, we are unable to even start the process. Error A12E5 comes instantly. And we are unable to get rid of the proxy since we are a School with more than 1000 users... We can't unplug the Proxy-firewall just to make a try... Proxy server can't be the problem anyway since it's correctly set in OSX preferences...

So I am creating our install package at home ( ! ) : Tons and tons of Gigabytes to download on a 4mbit line.

And we fear the next update process that will surely fail with error A12E5... !!!!!!

Could you please try steps mentioned in below article and let us know if this helps. Most of the times A12E5 occurs due to network securities but it seems you have validated the proxy for Adobe creative cloud packager.

Branching this to a separate discussion and moving the discussion to the Enterprise Deployment for Creative Cloud, Creative Suite.

Egaille if you are facing downloading errors on your managed network then please ask your I.T. department to review the Adobe Creative Cloud Service Access Documentation for IT section of http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/enterprisedeployment.html.

On that page (offical Adobe help page) it is clearly said that former AAMEE users (like us) shouldn't use AAMEE anymore, but CCP (creative cloud packager)  instead...

http://helpx.adobe.com/fr/creative-cloud/packager/creative-cloud-packager-faq.html

So what ?

Egaille the connection document is relevant to Creative Cloud users.  The use of AAMEE or CCP is irrelevant to being able to connect and download successfully due to access restrictions.

We have no access restrictions. Only a proxy server set, like in EVERY school or enterprise.

The fact is we are CC users.

BEFORE :

> We had about 250 education licences for the CS6 Master/Premium/standard (depending of our department).

> To create our masters (OSX environment), we used to download all packages (CS6 std, premium, master) on the Licensing Website, then we used AAMEE 3.1 to create an install package already activated.

NOW :

> We have a CC licence for education, for an unlimited number of machines (PC or MAC)

> We have red all help file availables, checked in our account page, and came to conclusion that :

1- the only available package to download in our Account page (Licensing Website) is CCP (Creative Cloud packager)

2- the CC applications (photoshop, illustrator, etc) are NOT available for download

3- it is CLEARLY said (see previous post) in the Adobe help pages that former AAMEE users should use CCP now

> BUT We have a big problem: we can't use CCP because of the error A12E5 : When installing CCP, the monitoring of the ethernet activity shows that the CCP installer downloads data (ethernet traffic climbic up to 100mbit for 1 minute) then an error message appears with code "A12E5".

This is not a problem of download... Since it downloads something during 1minute at 100Mbit/s on our fiber line (speed 100upload / 100download). This is a problem with CCP not compatible with high speed connexions, or i don't know what...

So the question is : what should we do ?

1) should we use AAMEE 3.1 despite the fact it is clearly said that we shouldn't.

2) if "yes" where do we get the CC packages (photoshop , Acrobat, etc etc) ? Do we have to use the Trial installers available freely, to build our package using AAMEE ?

The fact is we have about 300 Mac that will be dupplicated using the multicast technology, and we NEED to have pre-activated applications...

At least i need to know :

can we use AAMEE with CC Trial installers available here,

Download a free trial or buy Adobe products | Adobe downloads

Will it be enough to create a Master fully activated and fully functionnal for multicast duplication on 300 workstations?

I am under fire and I need a quick answer please.

Egaille for information on how to deploy the Adobe Creative applications included with a Creative Cloud Membership please see Creative Cloud Help | Packager.  You will want to utilize the Creative Cloud Packager in conjunction with whatever deployment solution is being employed by your organization.

For information on how to resolve access issues, including proxy configurations, please review the Adobe Creative Cloud Service Access Documentation for IT section of http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/enterprisedeployment.html.

If you have additional questions I have moved this discussion to the Enterprise Deployment for Creative Cloud, Creative Suite forum.  The community in this forum can likely answer any additional inquiries you may have.  You may also want to consider creating a new discussion within this forum depending upon the nature of your question.

is it an automated answer made by a robot ?

crazy...

I just said CCP don't work because of the "A12E5" error. We have troubleshooted everything that could be troubleshot. Proxy is fine and correctly configured.

We can't deploy anything because we can't create any package.

And i was asking if we can still use AAMEE (your link), which is for CS6/5/4, not CC

(additionnal question : where can we get CC packages to use with the AAMEE tool)
