RUM: All products are up-to-date (well, not quite)

New Here ,
Mar 14, 2018 Mar 14, 2018

Hi,

I have downloaded the latest version of RUM 2.2.0.2, copied the exe to a remote computer and executed RUM remotely. The log output shows

RemoteUpdateManager version is : 2.2.0.2

Starting the RemoteUpdateManager...

**************************************************

No new updates are available for Acrobat/Reader

**************************************************

No new applicable Updates. Seems like all products are up-to-date.

RemoteUpdateManager exiting with Return Code (0)

I had previously deployed Adobe CC (mostly 2017 apps) via the cloud packager last year. I am not using an overrides file (or AUSST). Will RUM install major version updates, such as from 2017 to 2018? Or can it only update minor versions?

If major, how come it isn't finding new products??

Thanks

Hi michaely55793786

Rum is designed to install updated but not upgrades.

Say, it can update Photoshop from PS CC 2017.0 to PS CC 2017.1 but not to PS CC 2018 as that would be an upgrade.

In the above logs , Return code ) means no updates available..
