SCUP XI catalogs missing MUI versions of updates.

Hi All,

I am looking to update deployed repackaged versions Acrobat and Reader 11.0.0.0 with the .01 and 0.2 updates through an SCCM deployment\SCUP. I have setup all three XI catalogs in SCUP 5.0 and imported all updates, however I cannot see any MUI (Multi Ligul User Interface) updates for version 11, is this normal? I have even opened the catalog cab files and cannot see any reference to MUI versions of the 11.0.01 and 11.0.02 updates.

Any advice on how to get the MUI version of these two dot release updates would be appreciated.

Regards,

Ben

Hi,

You've found a bug. Here's the rule: If there is no MUI-specific update (which there usually isn't), just apply the generic update. 11.0.01 provided a MUI installer. MUI. 11.0.02 is generic.

Unfortunately, the SCUP catalog isn't aware of the  11.0.01 MUI update. If you install that outside of the SCUP process you can resume updating 11.0.02 with SCUP.

Get 11.0.01 here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.01/misc/

hth,

Ben

Hi  brogers_1,

Many thanks for the advice, we have succesfully tested installing the .01 MUI update manually and then deploying the .02 generic update from the SCUP catalog. I intend to create a custom update in SCUP for .01 MUI update and publish into SCCM for deployment.

Cheers

Ben
