Serial Number for CC apps included with KBC/Adobe-Home Use Program

Hallo

Ik bestelde Adobe Software via het KBC / Adobe - Home Use Program. Ik ontving mijn download links van Photoshop, Lightroom en Adobe Professional. Maar als ik wil installeren komt hij telkens vragen naar een 'serial number' maar dat heb ik niet.
Hoe kan ik dit oplossen of hoe kan je een serial number bekomen? Bij Adobe Support alleszins niet.

Willem, sorry you are facing confusion with utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud software.  I reviewed the e-mail address you used to post to this public forum and there are no Adobe software titles or memberships tied to that address.

Based off your response in case ADB-2072765-F5F2 you are attempting to install Creative Cloud versions of Adobe software.  To do so you will need to contact your Creative Cloud program administrator within your company.  They will need to either add your e-mail address t

Did you purchase the software from Adobe directly, Photoshop CC is on subscription only and does not require a serial number.

Of course you didn't hear about it because your are not an employee of KBC.But there a several Home Use Programs. Adobe Support ask me to post my question here because the refuse to help. There is no assistance for this kind of programs only this forum they told me this morning. Their support really sucks.

Hi Willem,

We always try to be helpful here, but we are not Adobe employees. I must confess I have not heard of KBC Home Use Programs, like Ged. KBC from Google appears to be a Belgium Bank and Insurance company and it is quite possible they buy volume licences for Creative Cloud using employees. Normally Creative Cloud doesn't have a serial number for the standalone version as it's a subscription service, but I'm not sure that is true of the volume licencing deals. I think what you should do is contact the IT department at KBC and ask if you should have some kind of redemption code.

Hi Terris

I know you're always helpful here and I know your are not employees. I already contacted KBC IT department but they tell me to contact Adobe which I did this morning for more the 2 hours without any useful help. They gave me now a support telephone number which I am now contacting for the third time. First time I was rejected after half an hour, second time after 16'48". This is complete madness.
They also asked me to post my question on this forum which I did. But I knew beforehand that this wouldn't help also because of that negotiated contract between KBC and Adobe. I hate contactcenters. I already loose half a day. Complete madness.

I think you may need to talk to someone who specialises in Creative Cloud for Teams. Generally the 'Chat' option is better than the phone

Click on 'Accounts Issues' Then 'Adobe ID and signing in' Then 'Show me my contact options ' at the bottom and finally click on 'Chat' . When I do this and start to chat they tell me: 'please post your questions on the adobe forum' and you will receive answers. So here we are back 🙂 This is complete ADOBE MADNESS. I am now in contact with a support helpdesk and they also can't help. Adobe doesn't matter single users. They have a negotiated contract and that's more the enough for them. Find it out by yourself. i

Thanks for all replies but I am leaving this forum and will look for a black version or a black serial number which is so much easier to find.

yes that's the thing to do Ged. It sounds as if someone on the 'Chat' console doesn't know their job as they are supposed to assist with all matters connected to account setup and activation. It's too easy to throw customers back here knowing we can't help with serials and activation and this should be put right. I would say to Willem not to use the cracks that are out there-they almost always are now mining apps for cryptocurrency -Adobe software cracks is notorious for this. Also Willem your bank will almost certainly consider it a 'firing' offence if you contaminate their network with malware, so don't take that chance.

It's your risk Willem. You may not be on a network at home, but the bank mail server is certainly on a network-that's how most malware gets distributed through email from people at home, like you. I should say though Willem that this forum will not help you further with technical issues if you are using cracked software-we can detect it with a simple action and you then are really stuck.

Don't be afraid, I won't use cracked software not at home or on a network. I was systems engineer so I know what your are talking about 🙂

I only said this because I was exhausted contacting the contact centers without receiving any help and the many many hours it took.

glad to hear that Willem and I can understand your frustration and annoyance with Adobe. Hopefully when Ged contacts someone on Staff at Adobe they will restore your belief in the company. Remember that Adobe are in California , eight hours behind European time, so it may be a little while before you hear from them.

Based off your response in case ADB-2072765-F5F2 you are attempting to install Creative Cloud versions of Adobe software.  To do so you will need to contact your Creative Cloud program administrator within your company.  They will need to either add your e-mail address to the Creative Cloud plan or provide you deployment files that include the licensing for the CC membership.  Regardless there are no additional steps which you can do on your home computer until you contact your Creative Cloud program administrator.

If you have additional questions then can you please update this public forum discussion with the type of Creative Cloud membership your company has purchased.  Is it a Creative Cloud for Team or Creative Cloud for Enterprise membership?

Yes, Terri.  It is likely they previously provided installation files that contained the serial number licensing for deployment.  These builds expire after a certain period and have to be rebuilt, or new licensing has to be applied to the computer.  This is why named deployment, especially if you include a home-use program, is invaluable.

If Willem had an active membership, assigned to the e-mail address, then they could use the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application to install the CC applications as discussed in Learn how to download your Adobe Creative Cloud apps .

Jeff, can you tell me why it worked last time with the same procedure? I worked I think the last two years with Photoshop until the license ended last week. And then I requested a new installation, received downloadlinks but nothing seems to work.

Now, I will stop this issue because it already took me the whole day for what I think is a minor problem. I will post my experience of this day on our internal website. You know, you get so f... up when contacting Support centers for hours without any help. They send you from here to there and finally you end up with nothing.

I wish you all the best. I will look for other software that can help me. Adobe is finished with me. I will drink a good belgian beer know to enjoy this wonderfull Support-day. Maybe two beers because it was so good

Willem, as mentioned in post #20 it is likely that your company/organization is providing installation files that contain a serial number.  This process is what is known as serial number deployment, and the license associated with that deployment file will expire.  A serial number deployment allows organizations to deploy Creative Cloud applications in a restricted environment.

When the serial number expires, then it necessary to create a new deployment package or apply an updated license to the computer which has the software installed.  Either method will need to be conducted by the Creative Cloud administrator.  I would recommend that they create a new installation package so they can provide the latest version of the CC applications.
