Team cloud storage quotas and syncing

New Here ,
Jan 15, 2020 Jan 15, 2020

Hello, as a new user I have a few questions about Team cloud storage. I am not sure if the team licence suits our needs.
Each team licence has 100GB storage. Let’s say we have 5 team licences.
1) Each of this 100GBs are separated per seat (licence), or as an administrator can I manage 500GB storage?
2) Can active users (seats) access and use the whole 500GB storage or only their 100GB and shared folders of others seats?
3) Is the 100GB storage quota bounded with concrete team licence or with the Adobe ID of assigned user?
4) Can active user access shared folders and files of the team users that has their licences unassigned? If it’s not possible what happens with the files and folders of unassigned users?
5) Changed file is uploaded (synced) to the storage whole, or only its changes?
6) Changed file is downloaded (synced) from the storage whole, or only its changes?

Updated file will be synced (downloaded to local creative cloud file folder) to B's computer from Adobe Storage if he is using Creative cloud and he is a part of collaboration. Adobe does not offer any local network syncing, however enterprise license offering provides an option to restrict the users to share the files within the organization users only. More informaiton is available on the link below.

Hi Klaunovic,

Please find below the answers to your queries.

1) Each team license provides 100 GB of storage to users. The administrator cannot manage this storage.

2) An active user cannot access 500 GB storage because one user gets a quota of 100 GB. In short, a user cannot share his storage quota.

3) 100 GB storage is associated with the license and not Adobe ID. Once a license is assigned to an Adobe ID, storage quota increases from 2 GB (free storage) to 100 GB.

4) An active user can only share a folder/library of which he owns. He will not be able to share the assets of other owners. In case a license is unassigned, files will be available for 90 days on Adobe Creative cloud to that user. Post that the data will be removed from Adobe servers.

5 and 6) Whenever there will be a change made on a file/folder (either on local creative cloud folder or on Web) it will get synced.

I hope this answers your query.

If you want to manage the storage of your users, then you would need Enterprise licences. With those you can allocate storage to each user.

Thank you. How much more expensive (circa) is Enterprise licence according to Team one? I only know Team licence is about 300 EUR per year more expensive than team one.

Thank you very much for your time and answers. I have another questions:
Storage:
1) 100GB storage is addition to the user's current quota? If hired designer has his own 100GB storage from his own licence does our licence add another 100GB to his storage?

Syncing:

Lets have 3 users A, B, C. Users A and B are in one local network, the user C is at home. Everybody has synced all files. User A makes some changes to 1GB large file, saves and ends editing.

2) Is the whole new version of 1GB file transfered to Adobe storage from A's computer or only difference from old to new version (less than 1GB upload)?
3) Is there any local network or peer to peer syncing between user A and B local files? Or the user B will have to sync new version of 1GB file from Adobe storage?

4) Is the whole new version of 1GB file downloaded from Adobe storage to C's computer or only the difference from old to new version (less than 1GB download)?

Hi Klaunovic,

I will certainly try to answer all your queries. Please find the answers below.

1) In case a user already has 100 GB storage from his personal/Individual license and you assign him a team license, it will increase his total storage to 200GB.

2 and 3 ) I am assuming that you are referring to a collaborated file of size 1GB between user A, B and C. Adobe Cloud storage doesn't do the incremental storage of a file content. If there is a change made in a file then it will be synced completely. However if you talk about a folder, syncing is always incremental which means if you have 10 files in a folder and you made some changes to 2 of them, then only those 2 will need to be resynced by Adobe storage. It applies to other users as well who are added for collaboration. .

4) Complete updated file of 1GB will be downloaded to C's computer. In case of a folder, only those files will be downloaded again which were modified.

Thank you again.
ad 3) Is changed file dowloaded to B's computer from Adobe storage, or is there any local network syncing and B's computer can download it directly from A's computer over local network?
