Tuner for 7.0 Acrobat Reader - no SMS files?

New Here ,
Mar 29, 2006 Mar 29, 2006
I am trying to create a Package Definition file using Tuner 7.0. I have checked the box "Create SMS file (SMS 2.0 or later)". When I create the package in the Tuner (not SMS admin console) there are not files listed under "Copying SMS related files" in the message pane. I cannot find any .sms files.

Are you talking about the Package Definition Files (ironically called PDF's) or the MIF files for install/deinstall status reporting?

On the MIF files - not quite sure why it wouldn't work. You don't need to specify a path. Also I noticed they don't get created unless you run the package wizard. Plus double check that Create PDF and Create SMS file are definately checked on.

Then on PDF files - if there not working you really don't need them anyhow since its pretty easy to setup a msi installer in SMS from scratch.

Talking about the PDF or .sms type files.

The functionality is in the Turner to create these files and I would like to use it.

Any help in getting this functionality of the Tuner to actually work would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom
