Hi,
We are a school attempting to deploy the latest Adobe Suite. I built it last week using Cloud Packager and have installed it successfully on systems, but am receiving the following messages when attempting to open InDesign:
The specified path is invalid.
And then after clicking ok:
Unable to launch Adobe InDesign as you lack sufficient permissions to access the preferences folders. Ensure that you have appropriate permissions and then restart Adobe InDesign.
We also receive Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the current menus.xml file. Please delete the current menus.xml file and rename menus.bak to menus.xml.
These are fresh installs - and as an Adminstrator I can open both programs, but both staff and students cannot. What folders do I need to add write permissions to, so that we can access these programs?
Best wishes,

Further details. We're on Windows 10. The currently logged in user has access to write to AppData in C:\users\<profile>\AppData

Is there an Adobe folder in %appdata% ? What is in it if so?

Hi,
AppData\Local has an Adobe folder. In it are
- AAMUpdater
- Animate CC 2018
- InDesign (after running it for the first time)
- OOBE
Inside InDesign is:
- Version 13.0\en_GB\Caches\TypeSupport
(only folders, no files up until now)
Then in TypeSupport:
- AdobeFnt_CMaps.lst
- AdobeFnt_OSFonts.lst
In AppData\Roaming\Adobe
There is CCX Welcome with data\map.json and stock\map.json in.
Thank you on any help!

For info, holding CTRL+ALT+Shift to get the "delete preferences" window and pressing ok does not solve this - it still says a lack of permissions at this point. The logged in user (an admin) has full write ability to AppData and subfolders, as does SYSTEM.

Bumping this. We'd love some help on this one from an Adobe expert but can't seem to start a Chat or find an e-mail address and are sent back to the Community Forums each time.
Thanks.

Hi Steve,
We are using the latest version, I built it last week on Creative Cloud Packager from the Admin Console. I've tried to contact through the link - going to Less Common Options >> Creative Suite >> Troubleshoot >> Show my contact options and the only one available is Community Forums.
I've tried this at many different times of the day.

I'm in a community forum support group where we can request customer support. I've just put in a request to have someone contact you. Hopefully you will hear with in 24 hours.
