Updating Lightroom for Windows requires re-serialization

This was going to be a question but I figured out the answer but I thought it would be worth passing along.

When I was testing my install package for the newly-released Lightroom 5.7, I had failures on Win-32 and Win-64 (the Mac version worked fine). On Win-32, Lightroom would launch and endlessly loop back to the EULA screen. On Win-64, I would get the message that Application Manager is missing.

The solution I found is to add a step to my install script that re-serializes the system via AdobeSerialization.exe  (and delete the prov.xml file, of course).

If anybody knows a more elegant way to get around these errors, I'd love to hear about it.

Ric
