Using the CC packager to install into a D drive

My school purchased an educational license subscription for a class I am teaching. This apparently can only be distributed and installed through Adobe's packaging software. Some of our computers have a limited C drive, and a much bigger D drive - where we want to install the program. After creating and distributing the license package to one of these machines, I click on the installer file, and watch as it slowly fills up the C drive to it's maximum capacity, then aborts installation due to insufficient space.

The installer offers no options when it opens, it is just a progress bar. There is no way to choose where to install these dozens of gigabytes worth of apps. The installation file is saved in the D drive, but insists on trying to install into C:. With the thousands of dollars we spent on the licences, please don't just tell me that it must install to the C drive. It's not an option on our machines. Thanks.

You can specify a different installation location in the advanced package configuration (see Create packages for Adobe Creative Cloud). Choose the option "Specify directory" and enter the target directory.

If you install via command line, you can specify the directory during deployment (the second option under Installation's Location). Use a syntax like setup.exe --ADOBEINSTALLDIR="D:\InstallDir". Please note that the specified directory needs to exist prior to installation, it does not get created by the installer. More info here Deploy packages for Adobe Creative Cloud
