volume licence

New Here ,
Mar 31, 2017 Mar 31, 2017

Hi there,

We have a Virtual environment for Desktops in several areas.

We would like to be able to assign a licence to a virtual desktop ie: MANVDESK01 - which I currently do.

But what I want to be able to do, is assign a licence to this desktop, if and when I delete/re-image to upgrade or change settings on it. The licence would continue to be deployed to it without the need for me to get the licence key and re-install it on it.

So in in nutshell, we currently have 40 licences and would like to be able to assign re-assign remotely!

Please advise on how to go about this..

Speak soon

Justin Brett

Hi justinb27206064,

Sadly, there is no automated system for Volume license available for users to keep track of licenses.

You have to keep a track of it manually.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Hi Justin,

Please refer the article to manage licenses in an enterprise environment: Manage Acrobat DC licenses in an Enterprise environment | Adobe Content Corner

Assuming that Acrobat installation is not affected when you reimage with a golden image or upgrade the settings on the desktop, the licensing workflow will still be affected in such a scenario. You can simply use the prtk tool to deactivate or re-license Acrobat.

Regards,
Rave
