What happens to the Adobe ID users if I sync users from Azure Portal using the Azure AD Connector?

The Azure AD Connector syncs all the Federated ID users including the ones which already have an Adobe ID. Any users with an existing Adobe ID will have both Adobe ID and Federated ID in the Adobe Admin Console till the Adobe ID accounts and are migrated to a respective Federated ID account.

The system administrator needs to migrate these users with Adobe ID to Federated ID accounts. To ensure a single account exists for each user after migration, the admin needs to match the following details while filling the CSV:

  • Match Username and Email fields with Username (UserPrincipalName) fields in Azure AD.
  • Match FirstName and LastName with the corresponding fields in Azure AD.

When the users try to sign in with the new Federated ID, they are prompted with an option to automatically migrate cloud-stored assets to the new account.
