A: The e-license will be lost along with all the data on the hard drive. You should reinstall Acrobat 8.0 with the updated, ALM-disabled media.

We are a law firm and our internet is fairly restricted, I can't download the E-License if that’s what you’re alluding that I follow. Is there a problem with us obtaining the ALM disabled software?
A: As long as you obtain an ALM-disabled installation software as explained above, no e-license is required, and therefore no connection to either Internet or corporate network is required

The text on that page basically says:
If you have software after April 9, 2007, you don't need the ALM disabled software. If you have older software, contact support. Follow the instructions on that page.
