I see that there are new updates for the apps in CC. I have photoshop and lightroom. When I go to my creative cloud there is no update there for 2017. Why?

Go to the cog icon in the top right corner and choose Check for App Updates.

Can you try signing out of the Creative Cloud Desktop Application then signing back in?
If that does not work can you show a screenshot of your Apps panel, as I have done below?

Nope that didn't work either. Also for a while now It won't show Photoshop listed and installed unless I click on Previous Versions. It should be listed under Lightroom.

I wonder if somehow the language has become switched, I have seen that cause this problem.
Again via the cog icon>Preferences>Creative Cloud you can change the language (e.g. switch to English - North America). Then see if Photoshop appears (there is no Lightroom CC 2017 update).
You can also download Photoshop CC 2017 from our website at Adobe Creative Cloud desktop apps | Adobe Creative Cloud

I appreciate you trying to help. If I sign out, how do I sign back in. This is what it says see image attached. I tried the language thing, it didn't do anything.

No problem!
Once you sign out you can sign back in via the Desktop App.
Sign in and sign out to activate or deactivate Creative Cloud apps
But if you are worried about this, you could just download Photoshop CC 17 from adobe.com and then sign in to it to activate your license.

That didn't work. I tried Quit and I just tried "Sign Out". Frustrating. I will be getting a new iMac on Monday and will need to install my Apps on it. Hope it won't be a problem.
