Hi all,

One of our customers got a new PC and have Acrobat Pro 9 on it. The Acrobat Pro 9 was activated on the old PC and we need to use the same license key for the new one.

I have used Belarc to extract the license info but when I try to use the same license key on the new PC, it says it is not valid.

The license we have is a volume license and it is supposed to auto deactivate from the old PC when we put it on the new one. (correct me if I am wrong)

And also the deactivation option is grey on the old PC.

Anyone has encountered the same issue before or any advice?

Thanks in advance,

Sean

Volume licenses do not work the same way as individual licenses.  The following links might be of help...

Hi seanx2157776 ,

Please try to verify you serial number from this link : Find your Adobe product serial number quickly

You need to deactivate the software from old computer before putting it in new computer .

Also refer this link : Troubleshoot Adobe activation and deactivation issues and error messages  and Error: "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Adobe Creative Suite

Could you please let me know the OS version on the new computer ?

Let us know if this helps .

Regards

Sarojini

Hi Sarojini,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I do have the serial number with me and have confirmed with Adobe online support that it is a volume license.

I think what happen in the first place when the user activated the license is he install the software from the CD and input the license key that he find in the same CD package. So he does not have any account with Adobe.

I have read those links before I post this issue.

The OS should be Win 7 Pro or Enterprise, l will need to remote in to find out.

Let me know if you more info.

Thank,

Sean

Hi Ned,

Thanks for the links.

I have had a look, guess I shouldn't hold my breath for a volume license?

Have a good one.

Cheers,

Sean
