Hello, We've have been using several adobe products for many years. I'm trying to setup an automation which will help patch and new version deployment automatically. But I'm very curious about few things like

1. What's the patch delivery frequency, day/time from Adobe,

2. What's the new program delivery frequency, day/time from Adobe,

3. Running "remoteupdatemanager.exe" on PCs would be sufficient to accomplish above 2 points?

4. is there any recommendation to follow on "how to keep the adobe apps secure and upto date"?

Thanks for your help/advise in advance.

I don't think there is any specific time frame when Adobe releases the updates for the creative cloud desktop app or other applications. You can check the release notes for more details of each app.

The remote update manager will allow you to manage the apps which will only update not upgrade.

If the users have enough admin rights on the device to install and update apps then you can allow them to update it. You can check this article for more details for managing updates: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/admin-guide.html/enterprise/using/manage-self-service-policies.ug...

LATEST

We do not publish specific expected release dates for the Creative Cloud applications.

New major versions come out each year, in general. Historically this has generally been at the time of Adobe MAX, in November, although there are sometimes delays in releasing new major versions of some applications.

The RemoteUpdateManager tool will only update to the latest patch within a particular major release for the majority of Creative Cloud applications. It will not upgrade to a new major release of a particular application apart from where Acrobat and Reader are concerned. In order to install a new major release, a package may have to be created on the Admin Console and deployed to the end user's system, and the previous version uninstalled, if the user is blocked from installing and upgrading via the Creative Cloud Desktop application.
