Can I use the Acrobat DC Customizaton Wizard to cusotmize Acrobat Pro XI (11.0.17). I only see the older version and it seems a lot of changes have occurred since it was released.

We are trying to selective disable some of the Online features, pretty much everything excepting the SIGN feature.

We suspect the ONLINE feature  may be causing random hangs, however the registry key seems to only disable ALL of the online features, and not selectively.

The symptoms we have seen are random hangs. We are running on 11.0.17 of Acrobat XI.

The hangs actually happen when you start Acrobat Pro or Reader, click OPEN... and it hangs for about 2 or 3 minutes. Eventually it will bring up the OPEN FILE dialog.

One solution that seems to be a workaround is if we RESET the IE11 browser, the problem seems to disappear.

The other caveat is we are going through a proxy (Websense), but again in 98% of the cases it normally is not a problem.

Any advise or thoughts appreciated.

As mentioned in the doc, you have to use a Wizard version that's identical to the product version.

The 11.x and DC services-related preferences are different. You should be able to tune and selectively turn most things on and off via the Wizard either from the online panel or the registry panel. See the Wizard doc as well as the preference reference.
