Unfortunately, this solution does not work for me as I have organization managed security settings. In my case, I am unable to change the exclusions as I am not an administrator.

Did you try the steps mentioned in the below article?
You can also check if the generator is enabled under Photoshop preferences.
Preferences--> Plugins --> enable generator
I read some reviews on Malware Bytes, this is also causing issues. If you have that, please disable it.
