I have always used fireworks, installing it legally through creative cloud, but recently I needed to format my PC and when trying to install it, a screen appears: that Adobe Application Manager is needed to check the license, but the link to download the tool was removed by adobe, and I'm unable to use fireworks, could anyone help?

After researching a lot, I finally found a solution, I had to download and install ApplicationManager through this link,

https://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe//creativesuite/cc/win/ApplicationManager10.0_all.exe

For some reason Adobe removed this from the installation of CS6 programs recently, I hope they resolve this and don't remove this wonderful program from Adobe Cloud because for me even today, Fireworks is an incredibly lightweight program for making quick arts and working with vectors, something that Photoshop doesn't do it and Illustrator is too heavy.

At some point discontinued software can no longer be offered. It is already causing installation issues for those few users (such as yourself @NaviDsg ) who still install and use it. Adobe won't fix these things, so after more than a decade since the development of Fireworks was halted in 2013, it is time to truly lay Fireworks to rest in the Valhalla's defunct software halls. Not that I like this: I was a huge fan of FW.

Fireworks is lightweight compared to most modern design vector apps, although there are exceptions: I switched to PhotoLine years and years ago, for example.  Fireworks clocks in at ~230MB installation footprint, while PhotoLine (a design app that combines true vector and bitmap editing and which overall has a much broader and deeper feature set) comes in at ~200mb. And both take up around ~200mb of base memory when running.

Yet PhotoLine has on average a much broader and deeper feature set, offers modern web output options, and is actively developed.

Photopea is also lightweight (runs in the browser!) and even imports native layered Fireworks files.

So there are options out there for lightweight vector/bitmap apps that are still quite powerful.

In any case, I do still have a 'portable' version of Fireworks to convert files with. Fireworks still has a few tricks on its sleeve that I haven't seen anywhere else even up till this day. It is regrettable Adobe discontinued it.

Thank you very much for your feedback and for the options, I've already seen these programs and they will really be an option in the future, but frankly, fireworks is working perfectly and I don't need any help with it, my problem is in the Adobe validation structure, which has nothing has to do with the application, even though it needs Adobe Manager, it should be updated to support the activation of Adobe CC in our account, I managed to open it after installing Adobe Manager, but now I can no longer activate it because possibly Adobe The activation page has changed and now it is necessary to update the browser, but I will soon find a solution to continue using it. I will continue fighting to have my right to use it for many years, still in a fair way and within my subscription, without being Thank you for Adobe to use piracy or a simple dll that would break the need to activate this license, something I don't want to do.

=============

Choose your fights wisely.  🙄

According to the public notice on their website, Adobe officially ended support for legacy Fireworks.

I clicked the link you provided but nothing happened after it downloaded. What do I need to do to access it, again? Thanks, in advance.

Update 29/07: apparently Adobe has reactivated Fireworks through the Creative Cloud account, now we can get our Fireworks back legally

Follow the steps:

1- Install Adobe Muse first
2- Install Fireworks
3- Install Adobe Manager
4- Set PDApp.exe to open as administrator in Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDApp.exe
5- Open Fireworks and click on License this software
6- Log in with your Adobe account on your PC or QR code on your cell phone

and that's it, Fireworks will open without needing a serial number.

If anyone can do this, please confirm here

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. @NaviDsg

I wish I could just download everything for the last updated version of Fireworks from Adobe - the key, the install file, etc.
I mean, what do they care? I already give them money every month for the other creative suite apps, they've more than made enough on me to give us Fireworks - my humble.
