Hi guys, my name is Ivan and I am developing a web app www.Photopea.com .
Recently, I added the support for Fireworks PNG files. You can open your Fireworks PNGs in it. You will see all original raster and vector layers. Text layers are editable. There are layer styles, too. You can save it as a PSD file (and work with it in Photoshop).
The conversion is not perfect. But I think it is the only way to open Fireworks PNGs without Adobe Fireworks (e.g. if you are on Linux or iOS). Also, I believe I created the first Fireworks PNG to PSD converter 🙂 you can use Photopea for free, without any sign-in.

Agreed! https://www.Photopea.com is amazing and is helping me convert my Fireworks files so I can edit them with Affinity Designer. Since Adobe broke my Fireworks install and I can't get it installed on my new computer, I have no choice but to move to a different platform. I have a license. I have the full creative cloud plan. But still can't get it to work anymore. I'll try again once a month, but I have files to edit so am moving on. Affinity Designer also lets you export .svg files, so that's a nice perk.
Anyway, Photopea's trick to exporting your PNGs with layers and fonts in tact:
File => Save More => PSD/PSB => click the PSB tab and save the file. it's that simple
I haven't found how to batch do this, but even without that option this is a life saver. I see there are several different options to support Photopea and will be doing that in the next week or so. Thank you again @Ivan Kuckir for taking the time to create such an amazing tool and help us Fireworks users out!

It's a crying shame Adobe cancelled the web's best design tool, Macromedia (Adobe) Fireworks.
There isn't anything like it, Adobe XD and Figma are the closest out there.
Unfortunately, neither automatically integrate with Macromedia (Adobe) Dreamweaver.
That integration is lost now.... sigh.
Your tool is the next best thing, Ivan. Thank you SO MUCH!!!

Thanks, Photopea saved me Today, no way I am starting to use Photoshop now after how Adobe ditched me and other Fireworks users...
