I am not sure how to explain the problem.

I am using a button which has few mouse event listeners. Whenever I am trying to click on that button it randomly throwing these errors.

These are the two errors the application is throwing (2 different errors at 2 different times):

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at spark.components.supportClasses::ButtonBase/addSystemMouseHandlers()
    at spark.components.supportClasses::ButtonBase/mouseEventHandler()

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at mx.controls::Button/mouseDownHandler()
