The only flash player showing up in chrome's plugins is chrome's own pepperflash
It has been working for a long time but just dissapeared, downloading again or updating (Adobe flash player) didn't solve anything.
Hi stef_schraven,
Google has been planning to deprecate the NPAPI plug-in for a long time. According to this post Chromium Blog: The Final Countdown for NPAPI NPAPI plugins will be disabled by default in April 2015. Dear Maria,
Thank you very much for your fast and clear answer.
Do I understand it correctly by saying that after september Adobe's flash player can't be used at all anymore in chrome?
regards,
Stef

Hi Stef_Schraven,
Adobe's Flash Player will still be used in Chrome beyond September in the form of the PPAPI plugin, instead of the NPAPI plugin. We knew about this change and developed the PPAPI plugin in preparation for it.

Maria,
Do you know if PPAPI Flash Player will be of same quality as NPAPI? Currently PPAPI looks worse than NPAPI (system Flash Player).
Especially printing.
Sergei.

Hi SergStone,
They should be comparable in performance and quality. If you're experiencing issues I encourage you to file a bug at https://bugbase.adobe.com. Provide as much detail as possible. II would include hardware information (computer and printer) and attachments showing the difference between NPAPI and PPAPI.
