Adobe Flash and Blackboard Collaborate

I am trying to show brightcove videos within Blackboard Collaborate.  Since I upgraded to Mac 10.8.2 and the Java problems, I cannot show these videos within Collaborate - I can paste the url into a browser and view them.   The message on Collaborate says that I need to update my Adobe Flash - which I have done a few times - no luck.   Any suggestions?
