Hi!

Today i saw interesting version of Flash Player - in registry it calls 'Adobe Flash Player ActiveX & Plugin 64-bit'

I can't find link to download this strange application. Then I was trying to find link to download Adobe Flash Player ActiveX x64 , Adobe Flash Player NPAPI x64, Adobe Flash Player PPAPI x64, but also i couldn't find anything.

Please, can you explain me what is Adobe Flash Player ActiveX & Plugin 64-bit? Where can i download it?

Has Adobe versions of Adobe Flash Player ActiveX , Adobe Flash Player NPAPI, Adobe Flash Player PPAPI for x64 bit OS?

Thank you very much for your reply:)

Every browser uses a different type of plugin

PPAPI is for Opera mostly

MPAPI is for Firefox mostly

ActiveX version is for IE on windows 7 and below ONLY

IF you want the manual installs they are at the bottom of the following page under the "still having problem' section:

Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier

I recommend that you grab the flash  player uninstaller first to remove all flash versions before upgrading.

Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier

OR you can vlick my name in these forums and click on my website for a easier, automated way if you so choose

Best regards

To provide a direct answer to your question:

On Windows, the standard Flash Player installers bundle both the 32 and 64-bit versions of Flash Player.  If the version of Windows you're using is 64-bit, then we'll install both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Flash Player.

In a lot of instances, the browser (even in 2016) are still 32-bit, so depending on what the browser target is, we'll choose the appropraite version of Flash Player at runtime.

That said, Flash Player is a ubiquitous piece of software, and it's frequently "re-distributed" by malware authors, sometimes even bundled with a real, current Flash Player, with a malware payload in tow.

Always, always, always download software from either the App Store for your platform, or from the software vendor.  If you get popups telling you to upgrade, open a new tab, type in the address or use google for the product you want to download, and then get it, to ensure that you're not getting tricked.  Humans are the weak link in the security chain in this area, and it's far easier to trick people than the security technology built into the installation pipelines.

For Flash Player, you can always get the most-appropriate, and up-to-date version of Flash Player by going here:
