My computer says I have Adobe Acrobat & Flash player installed. When I want to watch a video I get message "blocked plug-in" & when I click on that I get message to update & when I click on that the screen blacks out & nothing happens. I can not watch videos and I can not download & read PDF files. Help - computer dumb - Help. I have Mac Book Pro. Don't know what I'm doing.

In Safari Preferences (Cmd+,) under the Security tab

Make sure "Allow all other plugins" is checked.

Uninstall the old (blocked) Flash Player: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html

Then install the latest Flash Player: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac/install_flash_player_11_osx.d...

Regarding PDF files, you need Adobe Reader: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
