Hi, Well, Flash Player 10.1 and Android is confusing. Here is the latest info I found.
http://www.androidcentral.com/tags/flash
I would contact the carrier you use and see if you can find out anything there. From what I have read, it depends on which Android you have, which just adds to the confusion.
Perhaps someone else will have more info and post to your thread. That's all I know. There is a lot of talk about Flash Player 10.1 and the Android, but I can't find any place to actually Install it. Since you have tried and it didn't work then I don't know. My understanding about a month ago, was Flash Player 10.1 was ready and waiting on Google. Google said the update 2.2 would be out "soon" and downloaded to select areas in the U.S.
Thanks,

what I did is get the Adobe Flash Showcase from the marketplace. It has a link in there if you don't have the flashplayer. That brings you to the http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer page. That is the page that was throwing the error.
Now it is getting a Web Page not Available.
I will check out the link you suggested to see if there is anything there.

Hi, thanks. That Adobe site is working from my Desktop. When you say you are getting an error, were you using your Android? That would make sense if Flash Player is not available.
If you find a definite answer, please let me know. I am hoping someone will post that may have more information.
Thanks,

yes, using my Android.
Looks like some people got the update to Android 2.2 on their Motorola Droid earlier this week. Others are getting it later this week. I guess I was just one of the lucky ones... 🙂

Thanks. You must have the HTC. Must be the manufacturer then that is behind. You may find more info on zdnet.com. I haven't had time to check today.
If I hear of any news, I'll post on your thread.

Actually, I have the Motorola Droid (the original).
Looks like Adobe made some changes today. The "Flash Showcase" now says coming soon and if you go to the get.adobe.com, it tells you to check to see that you have Android 2.2.
Seems like the update took Adobe by surprise.

Hi, LOL Nothing like miscommunication. Glad you were able to find some recent news. Well if you have the Motorola Android, then you should be able to get FP. Unless they are going to be "selective". I'll do some checking of the sites this evening.
Thanks for the update!

I'm still 1 of the few waiting for the OTA update on my Motorola Droid as well, still stuck on build # FRG01B. I can see fine that Adobe Flash Showcase is in marketplace, still no Flash Player 10.1, and if I attempt to go through the mboil sie for Flash I get as far as the page with http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ the thing I've heard lasst is that beause ofthis build, not sure why, it just simply won't show in marketplace til it's updated to the right 1.

Hi Dave, I haven't had a chance to get the other info. I don't understand what the holdup is, although I read that Verizon was holding up due to some bugs. I am burning CD's and as soon as I finish that, I'll see what I can find. I would call Verizon and maybe they can give you more up to date info. You might want to take a look at www.zdnet.com and see if there is info there.
Thanks,

Hi, Here are a couple of links that you may want to look at. It seems that there is a software update first that is needed so Flash Player 10.1 can be Installed.
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2368353,00.asp?kc=PCRSS03069TX1K0001121
The following links may be informative also, just thot I would include them:

I received a mailing from Verizon and the Motorola Droid 2 is out and has Android 2.2 OS -1GHz processor,
full suite of Google apps and Adobe Flash 10.1 (for those that don't have a Droid yet:-)

Oh, if you know anyone that is thinking of "rooting", Motorola has a warning out not to do it. I think I also read that Motorola has issued a Cease & Desist.
