I am currently running Flash on IE, and wanted to use a second browser (safari) when I go to use Safari and download the Flash Player it keeps telling me: the following applications need to be closed: Safari

I close it but it still won't download, and no matter what I do it keeps saying that.  WTF!

It should download completely before you need to close the browser. It can't install while Safari is running, so the warning should only appear once it has begun installing.

If it won't download at all in Safari, try this link Flash Player for other browsers

Download and unzip it. Close Safari, and then run the installer.
