Have you tried any of the following suggestions like disable protective mode in flash, disable hardware acceleration in Firefox, and anything else suggested ?

Protected Mode is an important protection against modern malware.  I'd really encourage you to leave it enabled, or use another browser if stability is an issue with it on.  There are a couple releases in the pipeline on the Firefox side that I'm hopeful will help alleviate the long-standing IPC-related stability issues that users have encountered with Firefox and protected mode.  Those should hit the release version over the next several weeks.

There's definitely a right-click crasher on Win8.1, and a couple other things that are specific to Firefox on Windows 8+.  There are open bugs on them, and I'm hopeful that they'll be resolved pretty soon.

In the meantime, Internet Explorer and Chrome are both pretty stable on Win8.1, and you may want to use them while the issues with Firefox and Win8 shake out.

Issue continue to be also in version 36.0.1 of Firefox relased in this days with Flash V 17 - If the protected mode of Firefox is disabled the problem is solved but protected mode must be on for security.

I had generate a report:

1143395 – Flash Crash when rigth click

I hope this will be soon solved so i can update my Firefox from ESR to the last editions.

Yeah, we're well aware of this issue and are actively investigating.  It's specific to Win8 and higher and affects all relevant Firefox versions, AFAIK.

We're in the early stages of an effort with Mozilla to improve the overall situation with Flash stability in a way that continues to provide the important security protections.  The remaining, stubborn stability issues in protected mode all come down to really fundamental architectural problems, and we're thrilled that Mozilla is engaged in an engineering effort with us to address these issues.  We're really very excited about collaborating with Mozilla engineering and look forward to providing a first-class Flash experience for Firefox users.

I believe that specific hang has something to do with a change to accessibility APIs in Windows 8 and higher.  I personally filed a similar internal bug a while back, and it's currently assigned to someone for investigation.  I'm hopeful that it's something we can knock out for the next monthly update.

Thanks!
