Hello,

I have exactly the same problem with my pc. Everytime I try to play a flash player video on youtube with firefox and the latest flash player update it crashes down and I have to restart, mostly, followed by blue screen error message. Please help me. It's urgent. I have already tried to reinstall but that didn't work out.

Hi, The Flash Forum has more threads than helpers!!  Are  you using the 32bit browser?

Can you see the animation here? Check with both browsers. Also what vs of FP is displayed?

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Then You may want to go to this site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. Right click on the Flash logo, Settings,
then UNcheck the hardware acceleration in Display Settings.

Thanks,

eidnolb

I am running Windows XP, SP3, and had the exact same problem after installing Flash Player 10.2.152.26.  After around three days of trying everything I could find in various forums, I was ready to use a stick of dynamite (I knew that would fix the problem in a flash, no pun intended).  I don't know if this will help you, but I finally redownloaded the latest drivers for my video card (ATI Radeon HD 2600ST).  Lo and behold, everything works perfectly on three different browsers (IE, Firefox, and Chrome).  Hope this helps.

Hi, That was a smart thing to do and that is part of the problem users are having. The drivers need updated.

I think reda316 must have solved her problem, since she didn't reply to me.

Thanks for posting your solution:-) I'm sure it will help others also.

Regards,

eidnolb

Hi, Follow these instructions carefully. I don't know what Anti-Virus/Spyware programs you have, but you'll need to disable them where you see in the instructions to do so. Don't re-enable them until you know Flash Player is Installed and working.

If you have had any Virus or Malware on your system, then this may not work.

Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer for IE- use the EXE Installer

http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html

Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer for FF- use the EXE Installer for plugin based (from the same site)

Close all browser windows, you only want to be looking at your Desktop.

Disable any messenger services, as yahoo, msn, etc in the system tray(area near the clock)

Disable any Anti-Virus now. you would want to disable that also as they can block the Shockwave Flash Object.

Be sure to use the Administrator Account.

Run the Uninstaller and when finished, Reboot(restart) your computer.

NOW check and make sure your Anti-Virus Programs are Still Disabled, if not Disable them again before running the Installers.

Run the Installer for IE, Run the Installer for FF and when finished, Reboot.

Then go to this test site and test each browser:

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

You may want to print these instructions to make it easier to follow. If you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks,

eidnolb

Hi, If MSE(Microsoft Security Essentials) is all you have then, you don't need to Disable that.

Hi Reda316.

I had a problem very similar to yours.

From the forum I didn't have usefull advices. Now I came back to 10.1 version that works fine for me.

May I ask you if you solved your problem and how?.

Thank in advance

Hi Hitomi and thankyou for your interest in my problem.
Here is what you ask (already written on the Adobe FlashPlayer Forum).

Feb 20, 2011 8:01 AM

Object: FlashPlayer 10.2.152.26 and Blue Screen (ati2dvag error)

Hi. I know for sure that I’m not the only one to have this kind of problem.

My configuration (single user):

PC Acer Travelmate 6592G.

OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 32 bit updated with the latest patches.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 XT HyperMemory (with last version of VGA Driver 8.403.00 as indicated in the Acer site).

Browser: Firefox (3.6.14 version).  Today,Mars 08, I'm using 3.6.15

Antivirus: ESET NOD32 4.0.468.1    and  Malwarebytes on demand.

No malwares or virus.

My problem.

I used 10.1.102.64 version of FlashPlayer and everything worked fine.

I updated to 10.2.152.26 by ‘update flashplayer window’ … and now when I try to see any Youtube video, my PC crashes.

Here is what happens. After 15 sec it reboots automatically with a little instant of blue screen (that I can’t read). When ready, I try again to see a Youtube video and this time it still crashes, but it stops on the blue screen (that now I can read); the blue screen shows a “ati2dvag” error (infinite loop), advices me to check/update my VGA driver, and signals a “STOP: 0X000000EA (0X85721AE0, 0X89A05120, 0XBA51BCBC, 0X00000001)”.

Now I have to turn-off hardly.

What I did.

I checked my VGA driver, and it was OK (latest version: 8.403.00 as indicated in the Acer site).

Then I uninstalled (uninstalling file + reboot + control at http://www.adobe.com/it/software/flash/about/) and re-installed the 10.2 version (running the installing file). But nothing changed.

Also when I tried to link to http://www.adobe.com/it/software/flash/about/ I couldn’t see the spinning flashplayer logo (and I couldn’t try to disable hardware acceleration) because the PC crashed.

I also disabled Hardware acceleration using the “windows Screen control panel” (hardware acceleration from ‘max’ to ‘min’), but nothing changed.

Now I came back to 10.1.102.64 version and everything works fine. But I’d like to have always my software updated.

I’m not an expert, so I can’t guess any other operation … but waiting for the new flashPlayer version (10.3 ?).

Thankyou in advance
