FLASH-HQ-PLUGIN.45031.EXE

I seem to have what Adobe is calling a Trojab Virus. My McAfee did not block it nor will it remove it. McAfee, of course, wants $89.95 to remove it. Is anyone else having this problem: when you click on certain pictures on the internet there is a "player" that opens rather than the picture or link you have clicked. I believe there are different variations of the Trojan but they all end in FLASH-HQ-PLUGIN.45031.EXE

Below is what it looks like. To get this I simply clicked on a picture.

Any help is appreciated. This is a nuisance.

Hi, here is one of the best anti-virus/spyware programs:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

If I had your problem I would run the McAfee Removal Tool,  which is the only thing that would remove it entirely. If you want to continue with McAfee, then I would do a reinstall.

Hope you get it taken care of.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I am and have been using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

and my version is 1.43

I am interested in running the McAfee Removal Tool you spoke of. Is this

something in addition to the McAfee I already have installed?

I still can't figure out how this darn thing got past all my protection!

Thanks again and I hope to hear from you soon about the McAfee Tool

Hi, The Adobe forum was down for a bit, just came back up. Was the Malwarebytes running in real time? If it was, hmmm.

I would guess the McAfee on at the same time would interfere. Only one Anti-virus program on a system. The advice that

I have read always is to remove the current program before installing another one. Sort of like Flash Player:-)

Will find the info and instructions.

Thanks
