I am having an issue on a WinXP machine. When I try to go to certain websites, I am advised that flash player needs to be installed. When I try to install flash, I am told it is already installed. However, nothing appears in control panel under add/remove programs for flash. How can I resolve this issue and please don't tell me to use another browser such as Chrome or Firefox. This particular person insists on using IE....and quite frankly, it should work there as well. Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Welcome to Adobe Forums,
Use Flash Player Uninstaller to remove Adobe Flash Player completely :
http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninsta ll_flash_player.exe
Once Flash Player uninstall successfully, then you can download Adobe Flash Player 11.3 from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
Thanks,
Vikram

I still receive the message that it is already installed, even though it isn’t. Would it be somewhere in the registry that could be removed?

Hello,
When you run the Flash Player uninstaller, does it says "Adobe Flash Player uninstalled successfully", like this :
If yes, then try installing these Flash Player installers :
Flash Player 11.2 : http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_activ...
Flash Player 11.3 : http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_active_...
Hope this helps !!
Thanks,
Vikram
