Flash Player Blocked

New Here ,
Sep 20, 2018 Sep 20, 2018

I am using Windows 10 and Google Chrome, both the latest versions but Flash Player is being blocked in certain games.  I have tried allowing it & reloading it but these have not solved the problem (when I go to settings, I can only enable it with "ask first" and that does not solve either.  I tried, just out of curiosity, to load the game in Explorer 11 and did not have the same problem so it seems to be a google problem rather than a flash player one.  I much prefer chrome, so if anyone knows a way to fix this I would really appreciate some advice.  I also tried clicking on the "allow" list to add it, but nothing happened.

I have tried those steps, repeatedly, with the same problem every time.  The website for the game I am playing is:  http://apps.facebook.com/pirates-game/?fb_source=bookmarks&count=0&fb_bmpos=_0

As of May of this year, Chrome discontinued the ability to use Flash. If you check for info through you Chrome Help, you will find that they have blocked the ability to use Flash.

The browser blocking Flash is not a Flash Player issue.  It's most likely the content isn't being updated to handle the browser changes in how they detect and load Flash. Recommend you contact the content developer.  You can point them to th Flash Roadmap - The Chromium Projects  especially section 2.1

Google told us in May that it would eventually block Adobe Flash Player content on Chrome. And today, the company is making good on its promise. Google is making HTML5 the preferred and default way to display website content in a change that’ll take place over the next couple of months. This means that unless a website has an HTML5 content player, video content will not automatically display. All Flash content will be blocked, unless users manually enable it on a site-by-site basis.

At first, permission requests will only pop up on sites that users are visiting for the first time, but by October, every site will require user permission to run Flash. One percent of users on the current version of Chrome will see this feature. Everyone should have an updated Chrome by February, when the most recent beta version goes stable.

Google isn’t the first company to block Flash content. Last year, Facebook made every video on its website play in HTML5 by default across all browsers. Even Adobe told people to stop using Flash last year, so really, Google’s update is for the best.

Additionally, Facebook themselves are letting those who provide material on Facebook for others to access, that they need to move away from Adobe Flash Player, which also includes Shockwave player, because they will not be supporting it any more on Facebook.

well, I would say internet is not only google, facebook or other popular websites, but millions of users

using millions of various websites with various browsers.... so if one browser will block it, there will be certainly 2 browsers

ready to unblock it and gain more users...
