FLASH PLAYER for Android Tablet -- Error Message (incorrect!)

New Here ,

  • PLEASE HELP!!
  • I am using a Tablet running Android.  My browser is Dolphin (version 11.5.6).  The Tablet came with Adobe Flash Player 11.1 (version 11.1.115.81) installed on it.  It worked fine in the past.  Recently, when I visit sites that require Flash Player, I get a message saying, "Flash Player is required to view this site!" (i.e. BlueMountain.com - E-card site).  When I search for an update, I get an error message stating, "Flash Player is not supported by your platform!"  How can that be when it came with my Tablet and worked fine until recently?  It seems to me there should be an update available.  Can someone please help me with this issue?

Support for Flash Player on Android ended around 2011.  Running the last available version for Android means that you're missing several years of security fixes and other significant security mitigations.

The only decent solution that I'm aware of for Android at this point is:

Puffin Web Browser - The fastest mobile browser with Flash support over cloud on iPad, iPhone and An...

They run a version of Flash Player in the cloud, and stream the content back to your Android device.

So there is no way to continue using Dolphin as my browser then?  I am aware of many others using Android, what do they use in place of Flash Player?  What about the other browsers supporting Android (i.e. Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.)?  I can still view my e-cards using Chrome, but l prefer the Dolphin browser...

No.  The approach of side-loading Flash Player in Dolphin using a version from 2011 (which is what people have been doing) is a terrible idea.
