Flash player freezes browser

New Here ,
Dec 19, 2009 Dec 19, 2009

I use 10.0.32.18 and I've seen that recently it freezes my browser on certain sites. It freezes at the youtube home page, but it will work fine on a youtube video or the most popular page or anything like that. It works completely fine with youtube except on the home page. It also freezes on hulu when a commercial begins to play. I'm pretty sure I've isolated the flash player as the problem because I've tried with Firefox, IE, and Chrome. Also, sites that normally crash work fine when I disable the flash player plugin.

Help?

All I can suggest is that you uninstall your current version of Flash Player, then install the latest version:

Hi Paul, Please post some system info on your thread. I have no idea what you are using.

It helps so we know how to respond to you.

Thanks,

LATEST

Some system info...

Operating system: OS X 10.4.11

Firefox version: 3.6.3

Safari version: 4.0.5
(please note I show both browser version because this is a problem in any browser I use on my computer)

Flash Version: beta 10.1.53.7
(please note I am currently running the beta because I thought switching to it would help solve my problem, it didnt. Before I was running flash ver. 10.0.45.2. Same problem was present on both versions)

Im not sure if any other system info would be useful. If there is some other info that would be useful that I haven't supplied please let me know.

Hi,

i have the same problem IE8 or Firefox freezes if a flash-application runs on the website.

My system is complete new with a clean windows XP (only 3 day old with  SP3 and all other patches, Office XP, KIS 09) installation.

I have tried a new installation of flash, ie8 and firefox but the freezes are still going on.

Hi M, Would you mind starting your own thread? It is much easier that way. I know some forums have one long thread, but that doesn't work too well here.

Pick any subject line you want, and you'll be able to get better help that way.

Thanks for the system info, that helps. We don't have the text attachment working so just you'll just have to type the info to your new thread. You can be brief so you don't have to type so much:-)

Thanks,

eidnolb
