Flash Projector - Step forward / backward does not work?

In the control bar of the flash projector, it says that you are capable of stepping forward or back a frame by using this key shortcut: CTRL + -> (or <-)

However, nothing happens.

This function used to work correctly in a much older flash player (Macromedia Flash 8 projector), but ever since then no version seems to have this fully working.

but there is no indication that it has been resolved.

Is there a method to fix this?

It doesn't look like anyone ever opened a bug based on that thread.

To be frank, this would not be a high priority issue unless it received a tremendous amount of votes from impacted users.
