As far as I know, Adobe Flash is still required to watch TV broadcasts or see the viewing schedule from a computer monitor. Seems Xfinity/Comcast are planning to use it way past the ending date. Is that safe? BTW, they are a fairly big broadcast outfit in the US with more than 100 non-robotic staff.

Safe? It isn't even possible for the vast majority of people. For most users Flash will be removed, blocked and turned off, no matter what TV they want to watch.
You say "as far as you know". Are you sure? Specifically, do you get a message asking to use Flash when you use these TV channels? No message -- no Flash.
