I have been getting this message frequently:
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Internet Explorer has experienced a problem with an add-on and needs to close.

The following add-on was running when this problem occurred:

Add-on Name: Flash10a.ocx

Company Name: Adobe Systems Incorporated

Description: Adobe Flash Player
--------------------------------------------------------

The message pops up, and it then closes and restarts Internet Explorer.

What is causing this, and how can I fix it?

Thanks so much!

I face the problem with Vista.

Can we sue Adobe for not rectifying the error?

The Flash10a.ocx problem has caused problems for too many users.

You have only to search and you can find complaints everywhere.

Maybe someone out there is a very good lawyer.

We ought to force Adobe to take appropriate actions.

Why don't you rectify the error? Flash10a.ocx is old; uninstall it, then install the newest version, and all will be well.

You can download the uninstaller from http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157

You tried what?  Did you uninstall it?

What is your OS and browser?

What is your problem?

LATEST

As suggested by Pat Willener, I uninstalled flash10 and then reinstalled the lastest flash10.  I have no problems so far.

I have also disabled sleep mode which causes other problems.

I have the following files in this folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\
uninstall_activeX

SWFlash.ocx

install

FlashUtil10b

Flash10b.ocx

Flash10a - Copy.ocx

I think you should have the two files in blue in the above folder.

I am using vista.  When I had the flash10 problem, I was using IE7.  The problem was corrected for IE7.  I am using IE8 now.  No problems, so far.
