Hi, Yes that is exactly where it should be. Why would you think it is not supposed to be there?

C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

You have the Flash files there and then depending on whether you Installed Flash Player in IE or Firefox or other browsers you would have a Flash Player add on for each browser.

Thanks,

eidnolb

Hi, evidently I don't understand what you are referring to. Perhaps with some information as what operating sytem you are using, browsers etc. would help. What is the flv remover for?

Thanks,

eidnolb

P.S. ok I just saw that you are using Vista, SP1 or SP2?

Hi, I think the location you want is the one that Pat gave you. I work with the one I gave you, since that is where the Flash files are as far as I have ever known. Any other locations I am not familiar with.

Thanks,

eidnolb

I don't know where to look in that 3rd-party forum; you better tell us exactly where it is (a direct link), or explain what you want to know.

Ok, I see now - I always looked at the first link, which is just a forum.  The second is actually a forum thread.

So you want to know where Flash Cookies are stored?  It's at %APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects (%APPDATA% being the environment variable that points to your Application Data folder).

I can't seem to get an answer on the better privacy forum, but if it says to not have the flash files in sys 32, the target for the addon  that i have tried to use links to the app data roaming, not the sys32 win folder, so i am  seeing they say to reinstall this to another party, if that's the case i need to also.

I just started trying to use this after i found all the embedded flv and lso items, realizing this is not an adobe issue, but if this is a user community forum maybe someone else  had the same issue?

tks

I really, really, really don't understand what you want to know!  Couldn't you clearly formulate your question?

These are the Flash Player locations used on Windows

  • FP plugin/add-on:
    • 32-bit: %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\Macromed\Flash
    • 64-bit %SYSTEMROOT%\syswow64\Macromed\Flash
  • Local Shared Objects: %APPDATA\Macromed\Flash Player
  • Asset Cache: %APPDATA%\Aodbe\Flash Player

I do not understand what the question is - there are two links pointing to a 3rd-party forum.  Many topics in there - what do you want to know?

%APPDATA%\Macromedia is where the Flash Player settings are kept.
