Help! Shockwave keeps crashing on my new computer! I have tried everything.

So I just bought a new computer (HP Spectre x360) and shockwave has been crashing constantly. I cannot view any videos anywhere on the web. I have tried all the common solutions people have posted such as checking for conflicting plugins, uninstalling and reinstalling adobe and my browsers and nothing has worked. I don;t even know what tech support to contact for this kind of issue.

Could you give an example of the URLs you're visiting, and perhaps a screenshot. Also, what OS are you using, what browser.

It may be that Flash Player is the issue not Shockwave (they are 2 separate players).

Youtube is the main one that has been failing, but pretty much any videos. I use chrome, but it has been failing in ie as well. OS is Windows 8.

Test your Flash player installation from the page:

You can also download a standalone installer. That may solve your problem. It has for other people reporting similar issues.
