I just downloaded adobe flash player 11.3 and I'm using firefox but none of the video resources work  . The area where the video is supposed to be running is just black. I tried to uninstall adobe flash player 11.3 and download version 11.2 again but it doesn't allow me to. It sais that there is a newer version available so I can't download the older one!

I want exactly the same, and I know where to download older version zip files (see link to my thread). But could somebody please tell me/us which installer or .exe we should use??

For me I need the Vista 32-bits with Firefox installer or .exe.....

In the zipped archive, folder fp_11.2.202.233_archive subfolder 11_2r202_233_32bit use

  • for Firefox: flashplayer11_2r202_233_win_32bit.exe
  • for Internet Explorer: flashplayer11_2r202_233_winax_32bit.exe

Yesss thank you, that was the (simple) answer I was lookin' for!

After using the uninstall FAQ and tool, installing the previous version gave no problem whatsoever. And it seems that ALL problems on both my systems vanished.

So it's pretty safe to conclude the newest plugin gave the trouble.....

Pat and everybody

I've been able to get the recommended latest security fix for 11.2  (11.2.202.235) here:  (this is for NON-IE browsers, in that site has the copy for IE also)

     http://www.oldapps.com/flash_player.php?old_flash_player=7628?download

It works well here.

ps:

Pat,  How about Adobe re-releasing this (or another convenient/working) version as the *current latest version* for all firefox/other_plugin_browser users for the time being?  I think this very ugly crashing problem affects so many users. I coudn't believe it was an Adobe problem! , It gaves me crashes even with (latest) Nvidia *kernel driver* (win7-64)

Guys I tried all your solutions but whenever I try to download adobe flash player 11.2 in a zip file or directly, Adobe Flash Player 11.2 Installer says: " The version of Adobe Flash Player that you are trying to install is not the current version. Please visit the Player Download Center to obtain the latest, most secure version ". And that is how I end up not being able to download version 11.2 😕

See this article how to revert to a previous Flash Player version: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1022066

You may need to temporarily disconnect from the Internet to prevent the installer from checking for updated versions.
